In addition there might be a fan and a heat sink above the processor and the RAMs.
Their overall height is probably at least 20mm... and some distance to the upper board the fan also needs to suck in air. But it has the advantage for me that a part of my board is in the intake flow of the fan.

Bad news :
The step file has 48-pin connectors, but the latest documentation has 50-pin connectors.

This means that the step file cannot be used to determine the correct position of the connectors.

So I need again the exact position of pin 1 of both connectors.

That's strange.. what are the functions of the 2 added pins?

Hmm...
This is the same 3D model as the one before.
With two 2rows-48pin-Connectors instead of 50pin connectors as described in the docs.

Could we have a PCB file (Altium/Protel/Eagle/Gerber/pdf) with only connectors and mounting holes generated from the original one please?
Or an actual 3D model ?

I need ist for something like this :

@Lutz, I have the alpha lattepanda in front of me and both sides have less than 50 pins. With the 3 usb ports facing left, and the hdmi and ethernet ports facing the other way. The bottom connector has 46 pins: (left to right = 24+space+10+space+12)
The top connector has 48 pins (left to right = 18+space+30). I only have a ruler here, which is not very precise. The left face of the bottom connector is 25mm away from left side of the board. The connector is 64mm long and the other end is also 25mm of the right edge of the board.

@Lutz, I managed to open the step file and I it seems the dimensions in the file are pretty reliable against the measurements I can make with this not so accurate ruler. I would trust the file for the measurements. It seems to be quite accurate with the exception of the pin holes.

For completeness sake: here are the diferences I find between the file and the actual board:
On the top side of board
- In the file, on the top left corner there is a two pin connector and a switch, like on the top right corner. This has been replaced by the RTC battery and the arduino reset button on the board.

On the underside of the board,
- The mounting screws for the fan are in completely different positions.
- On the file, there is a touch panel connector and two display connectors (eDP). On the actual board, there is only a touch display connector and a display (eDP) connector.
- On the actual board, there is a mystery connector, opposite to the eDP connector. It doesn't show up anywhere in the user manual or the specs...
