Hi,

Quite possibly . I followed this guide. Purchased the USB tool and the clip on Amazon, took me 20 minutes to do!

I think it cost me £15, not so bad!

I wonder you rename the github downloaded bios from .zip file (which is bios installer) into ".bin" and then you upload it as it to the chip?
is I understood it right?

You have to "unzip" the zip file in any folder on your computer, then you'll see a file that is larger than the other ones, 8MB iirc. Rename that file to "whatever.bin". The name is not important, just make sure that the extension is .bin. After that you can follow the step by step guide that OP did. Also double check you've downloaded the correct one for you MB version.

Newer versions of the board, or ar least mine, (v1.1) have a 1.8v BIOS instead of a 3.3v one. I used my programmer @ 3.3v with no issue but if it's your case, either buy a 1.8v programmer-converter or do it at your own risk.

Best of luck and thanks again to the OP for the guide!

To LattePanda Team: (Idea for next board revision) It would be nice to have a way to restore BIOS via the USB port without having to do all of this :)
